Hey guys, today I´m going to talk about the movie MOULIN ROUGE; this movie was directed by Baz Luhrmann and written by Craig Pearce .
This movie Is about a courtesan named Satine (Nicole Kidman) , and a writer named Christian (Evan McGregor). The writer felt in love with the courtesan, and they love each other with all their hard, but the problem was that Satine`s heart was sold, It was sold to a rich Duke; so they keep their love in secret… This Story Is about Freedom, and above All Things This Story Is About Love, This story is about love, overcoming all obstacles.
This movie won 2 Oscars: Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Costume Design. But they were nominated for seven more Oscar: Best Sound, Best Picture, Best Makeup, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Actress in a Leading Role. And another 66 wins and 82 nominations.
One thing I’ve learned of this movie is: “The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return.”
Everytime that I watch this movie I cry. The way the two main characters were in love is beautiful and the fact that they could never be together in public makes me want to cry more. Also the message that it gives is simply the best: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return"
